Green School Facilitator
StartUpRoots helps schools implement student-centered hands-on project-based lessons that promote the goals of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environmental Protection's Green School Program. From seed to compost, students evaluate the impact that food has on our environment, reducing waste, utilizing technology to grow food with less water and no pesticides, reducing the use of single-use plastics and engaging in projects that connect students with their favorite environments. This year StartUpRoots worked with Shaarei Tzion, students beautified their school with a mural they painted, built and maintain an aquatic environment, made terrariums in their class and will be working to restore the Flower Sanctuary in their neighborhood.
